Imagine Thailand
We believe in the capacity of youth, university students and skilled professionals to create a new future for communities in need. Our work shapes global citizens who partner to bring real benefit and change to local communities, the marketplace and the world. Together we bring assistance to children at risk, victims of terror, survivors of natural disasters and refugees fleeing oppressive governments.
Since the beginning, Imagine Thailand’s focus has been on connecting two sides of Thailand’s society – university students with the education to initiate transformation and local communities with great needs. Imagine Thailand is a bridge between these opposite ends. We believe in those who have society’s permission to bring change can do just that—catalyze change. We believe in a new generation of young adults who want to make a meaningful difference in their world. We believe in Thai students and young professionals who stand ready to bring transformation to local communities and society. We see young adults as having the ability to be community contributors, people who can add value to a local community by improving the quality of life.
Imagine Thailand is a registered Thai foundation (registered as Imagine Thailand Foundation, reg. no. กท 1917) with Thai and Canadian leadership. Motivated by our Christian faith, we assist people regardless of race, religion, political affiliation or gender.
YWAM
Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this and future generations, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and serve His body, the Church, and to love all peoples everywhere, which includes presenting the whole Gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world.
We of Youth With A Mission believe in God–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–and that the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative Word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, fully God and fully human; that people are created in God’s image; that He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ; that although all people have sinned and come short of God’s glory, God has made salvation possible through the incarnation, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ; that repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God’s initiative of grace toward us through the active ministry of the Holy Spirit; that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth; and that the Holy Spirit’s power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishment of Christ’s last commandments, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15 NLT) and “Go and make disciples of all the nations…” (Matthew 28:19 NLT).
ERDO
Emergency Relief and Development Overseas (ERDO) now works with children and their families in more than 30 developing countries each year.
Our mission is to passionately respond to the practical needs of people living in poverty and crisis around the world. Our vision is to seek Christ-motivated community and individual transformation by meeting basic human needs and fostering social, economic and spiritual potential. We do our work and seek to honour God through our core values: Integrity, Excellence, Dignity, Collaboration, Compassion and Gratitude.
In 2023, ERDO was recognized by Charity Intelligence as being one of the top 100 charities in Canada. We are grateful when others recognize the impact of the work we do, validating what we’re able to accomplish together.
We work for the holistic well-being of families and communities. We know, it’s an easy thing to say, but much harder to make a reality. Through our three main areas of work, child sponsorship, community development and crisis response, we have seen how bringing several solutions to a community creates lasting change. When we provide parents with job opportunities, help them send their children to school, bring the family extra food and provide clean water to the community, their lives change!
